Seahawks Officially Re-Sign QB Tarvaris Jackson

Update:

The Seattle Seahawks officially re-signed backup QB Tarvaris Jackson on Tuesday.

———-

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports reports that the Seahawks have agreed to re-sign veteran QB Tarvaris Jackson on Tuesday.

The two sides had been negotiating for several months and it appeared as though it was just a matter of time before they had an agreement in place.

Earlier in the day, there was some speculation that Seahawks could consider signing free agent QB Michael Vick, but it still appeared as though Jackson was their No. 1 option.

Jackson, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2006. He spent five years in Minnesota before departing for an opportunity with the Seahawks.

The Dolphins hosted Jackson for a visit back in March, but nothing ever came of the meeting.

In 2014, Jackson appeared in just one game and completed one pass for zero yards.
