Seahawks Sign DT Lord Hyeamang & DE Ricky Ali’ifua, Cut Two

The Seattle Seahawks announced Friday that they’ve signed rookie DT Lord Hyeamang and DE Ricky Ali’ifua to contracts and waived C Marcus Henry and DT Eddy Wilson.

Hyeamang, 21, wound up signing on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Columbia back in May. However, he lasted just a few days in New York before the team waived.

During his four-year college career, Hyeamang recorded 76 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, a recovery and 4.5 sacks over the course of 39 games.

Ali’ifua, 26, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and sat out the 2017 season.

The Browns signed Ali’ifua to a futures contract this past January before cutting him loose in March.

During his college career at Utah State, Ali’ifua recorded 99 tackles, 18 tackles for a loss, eight sacks, two forced fumbles and five pass defenses over the course of 40 games.
