Seahawks TE Will Dissly Out For Season With Torn Patella

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll announced that rookie TE Will Dissly suffered a patellar injury during Sunday’s win over the Cardinals.

  • Ian Rapoport confirms that Dissly is believed to have suffered a torn patella and is out for the season.
  • David Chao explains that Dissly’s patellar injury will force him to undergo surgery and subsequently end his 2018 season. According to Chao, Dissly’s injury is similar to the injury Jimmy Graham suffered a few years ago and he’ll face a tough recovery.

You can expect the Seahawks to place him on injured reserve in the coming days and add someone to their roster.

Dissly, 22, was selected in the fourth round of this year’s draft by the Seahawks. He signed a four-year, $3,110,268 contract with the Seahawks and stands to make base salaries of $480,000 and $570,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

Entering today’s game, Dissly had appeared in three games and caught seven passes for 151 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
