Seahawks Waive/Injured LB Jermaine Grace, Sign LB Tre’Von Johnson To PS

The Seattle Seahawks announced that they’ve waived LB Jermaine Grace with an injury designation to make room for LB Mychal Kendricks.

  • Seattle also signed LB Tre’Von Johnson to their practice squad and released RB Lavon Coleman from the unit.

The Seahawks’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. QB Alex McGough
  2. WR Caleb Scott
  3. G Jordan Roos
  4. T Elijah Nkansah
  5. TE Marcus Lucas
  6. DE Branden Jackson
  7. DB Simeon Thomas
  8. WR Malik Turner
  9. DB Shalom Luani
  10. LB Tre’Von Johnson

Should Grace clear waivers on Monday, he would revert to the Seahawks’ injured serve list.

Grace, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of last year. Atlanta elected to cut him loose in November and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Colts.

After brief stints with the Browns, Grace was once again claimed off of waivers coming out of the preseason, this time by the Seahawks.

In 2017, Grace appeared in 11 games for the Falcons and Colts and recorded three tackles.
