Seahawks Waive OT Isaiah Battle

The Seattle Seahawks have placedĀ OT Isaiah Battle on waivers Wednesday to make room for newly acquired LT Duane Brown, per Curtis Crabtree.

Battle, 24, became the first player taken in a Supplemental Draft since the Browns used a second-round pick on Josh Gordon back in 2012 when the Rams used a 2015 fifth-round pick on him.

The Chiefs eventually signed Battle off of the Rams’ practice squad and brought him back on a future/reserve contract this past January. However, Kansas City traded him to the Seahawks for a 2018 conditional seventh-round pick coming out of the preseason.

Battle played in 27 career games and started 11 contests last season whileĀ playing more snaps than any other Clemson player (824).
