Seahawks Work Out FBs Including Veteran Greg Jones

According to Pro Football Talk, the Seahawks hosted free-agent FB Greg Jones for a workout on Tuesday.

• The Seahawks also worked out veteran fullbacks Tony Fiammetta and Will Tukuafu, but are not expected to sign any of the trio “as of now“, per Mike Garafolo.

Now that starting FB Derrick Coleman is expected to miss an extended period of time with a foot injury, Seattle is in the market for fullback that can help them get by in the coming weeks.

Seattle reportedly tried to sign Kiero Small off the Browns’ practice squad, but Cleveland prevented this by promoting him to their active roster.

Jones, 33, spent the 2013 season with the Texans, but wound up signing on with the Saints during the offseason. However, he was later cut loose before the start of the season.

Last year, ran for just two yards on two carries and contributed five receptions for 34 yards receiving.
