Seven Players Reinstated From Suspension Including Taylor Lewan & Golden Tate

On Monday, the NFL officially lifted suspensions for seven players including Titans LT Taylor Lewan and Giants WR Golden Tate

The full list includes:

  1. Titans OT Taylor Lewan
  2. Buccaneers DB Ryan Smith
  3. Raiders DB Nevin Lawson
  4. Giants WR Golden Tate
  5. Patriots TE Benjamin Watson
  6. Chiefs CB Morris Claiborne
  7. Browns WR Antonio Callaway

All these teams have received roster exemptions for these players, which will buy them some time to clear a spot on their active roster.

Lewan, 28, was taken with the No. 11 overall pick by the Titans back in 2014. He was in the final year of his four-year, $11.485 million rookie contract when the Titans picked up his fifth-year option in 2017.

Lewan signed a five-year, $80 million extension in 2017 that made him the NFL’s highest-paid offensive lineman at the time.

In 2018, Lewan appeared in 15 games for the Titans starting at left tackle. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 15 offensive tackle out of 80 qualifying players.

Tate, 30, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2010. He played out his rookie contract in Seattle before signing a five-year, $31 million contract that included $13.25 million with the Lions.

Tate was traded to the Eagles at the deadline last year and made a base salary of $7 million for the 2018 season. The Giants later signed him to a four-year, $37.5 million contract that includes $23 million fully guaranteed.

In 2018, Tate appeared in 15 games for the Lions and Eagles and caught 74 passes for 795 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
