Steelers Hosted DE Jason Jones For A Visit

Field Yates of ESPN (via Michael Rothstein) reports that the Steelers brought in DE Jason Jones for a visit on Monday.

This marks the second visit for Jones since the market opened close to a week ago. Jones met with the Dolphins in recent days, but wound up leaving without a contract.

Jones, 29, is a former second-round pick of the Titans back in 2008. He played out his rookie contract with Tennessee and signed a free agent deal with the Seahawks. However, he spent just a year in Seattle before signing with the Lions the following year.

Jones is currently among the best available defensive linemen in the free agent market.

In 2015, Jones appeared in 15 games for the Lions and recorded 31 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a pass defense.

We have him featured in our Top 2016 Free Agents list.
