The Pittsburgh Steelers announced Monday that they’ve placed CB Arrion Springs on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Springs, 24, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in 2018. He signed a three-year, $1.71 million contract with Kansas City and was set to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season when he was waived coming out of the preseason.
From there, Springs Springs has brief stints with the Saints, Browns, Raiders and Chargers before signing a one-year contract with the Steelers this past April.
During his four-year college career at Oregon, Springs recorded 137 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, two interceptions, three forced fumbles, a recovery and 42 pass defenses.
