The Pittsburgh Steelers officially re-signed restricted free agent OT Chris Hubbard on Thursday.
The Steelers have used a low-round tender on Hubbard last month that would have cost them around $1.8 million for the 2017 season. However, they apparently were able to agree on a different offer.
Hubbard, 25, signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of UAB back in 2013. He spent his first year on the practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract.
The Steelers signed Hubbard to a one-year contract extension in January of last year.
In 2016, Hubbard appeared in 15 games for the Steelers and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 39 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
