Steelers Re-Sign WR Jericho Cotchery

Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers have re-signed WR Jericho Cotchery to a two-year contract.

The market for his services was pretty limited but he did meet with the Rams a few weeks ago. Pittsburgh has been doing everything they can to get their financial situation straightened out, so it was clear that they would have to hold off on re-signing players like Jericho Cotchery, especially considering that Mike Wallace could have been signed away.

Cotchery was surprisingly productive for the Steelers last season, so I’m sure that they’re glad to have him back. We had him listed as the #20 best available free agent in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
