Steelers Sticking With Devlin Hodges As Starting QB For Week 16

Steelers HC Mike Tomlin told reporters on Tuesday that Devlin Hodges will start Week 16’s game against the Jets.

The Steelers gave Mason Rudolph the opportunity to bounce back from a tough game earlier in the year and Tomlin says he plans to do the same for Hodges.

“I look forward to giving him the opportunity to rebound,” Tomlin said, per Gerry Dulac

Hodges, 23, signed with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Samford in May following the 2019 NFL Draft. He was waived coming out of the preseason but re-signed to Pittsburgh’s practice squad.

Pittsburgh promoted Hodges to the active roster following the season-ending injury to QB Ben Roethlisberger.

In 2019, Hodges has appeared in six games for the Steelers and completed 67.8 percent of his passes for 884 yards, five touchdowns and six interceptions while rushing for 69 yards.
