Teams Trying To Acquire DeAndre Hopkins From Texans

Jay Glazer reported on FOX NFL Sunday that teams have contacted the Texans about a potential trade for WR DeAndre Hopkins.

Glazer admits it would take “an awful lot” for the Texans to trade Hopkins, but teams are still planning to contact Houston in an attempt to lure him away.

However, Glazer doubts it will happen before Tuesday’s deadline and specifically mentions that Hopkins is not on the trade block.

Hopkins, 27, was taken with the No. 27 overall pick back in 2013. He’s currently in the third year of his five-year, $81 million extension that includes $49 million guaranteed.

Hopkins stands to make base salaries of $12.5 million over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2019, Hopkins has appeared in seven games for the Texans and caught 49 passes for 508 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding the Texans as the news is available.
