Texans Claim QB Stephen Morris Off Waivers From Seahawks

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Texans have claimed QB Stephen Morris off of waivers from the Seahawks on Monday.

Morris, 25, wound up signing on with the Jaguars as a priority undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He was unable to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season but was later signed to the Jaguars’ practice squad.

The Eagles claimed him off of waivers a few days later but he would later finish out the year with the Colts. Morris returned to Indianapolis this last year on a future/reserve contract but was once again waived coming out of the preseason.

The Redskins signed Morris to a futures contract this past January only to cut him loose last month. The Seahawks signed him to a contract soon after before waiving him last week.

Morris has yet to appear in an NFL game.
