Field Yates reports that the Texans have claimed WR Chad Hansen off of waivers from the Saints on Friday.
Hansen, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Jets back in 2017. He was entering the second year of his four-year rookie contract worth $2,819,648 when the Jets elected to waive him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.
The Patriots claimed him off of waivers shortly after but elected to waive him in October. Hansen had a brief stint on the Titans’ practice squad before the Broncos added him to their taxi squad.
Denver re-signed Hansen to a futures contract this past January only to cut him loose shortly after this year’s draft. The Saints signed him soon after before waiving him on Thursday.
In 2017, Hansen appeared in 15 games for the Jets and recorded nine receptions for 94 yards (10.4 YPC) and no touchdowns.
