The Houston Texans have exercised WR Will Fuller‘s fifth-year option on Friday for the 2020 season, according to John McClain.
This will cost the Texans around $10.1 million, but is guaranteed for injury only and won’t prevent them from working on an extension over the next year.
Fuller is working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered last October and led to him being placed on injured reserve.
Fuller, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Texans back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $10.164 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1.83 million for the 2019 season.
In 2018, Fuller appeared in seven games and caught 32 passes for 503 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
