The Houston Texans have re-signed LBย Akeem Dent to a two-year contract, according to his agencyย Enter-Sports.
- John McClain reports that Dent receives a two-year contract worth $4.5 million and includes $2 million guaranteed from theย Texans.

Dent’s agent,ย Hadley Engelhard,ย previously toldย Mark Berman of MyFoxHouston.comย that he had interest from two other teams, but they were still in contact with theย Texans regarding a return.
Dent, 27, is a former third round pick ย of the Falcons back in 2011. Atlanta traded him to the Texans in return for QB T.J. Yates in June of last year.
In 2014, Dent appeared in 15 games and recorded 38 tackles and a sack for the Texans.ย Pro Football Focusย has him down for playingย 227 snaps last year, but he does have a solid rating as aย pass-rusher.
