Texans Release Matt Leinart

ESPNโ€™s Adam Schefter reports that Texans have released QB Matt Leinart.

Leinart was set to make $1.75 million next season but John McClain of the Houston Chronicle tweets that Texans will move forward with Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates, not Peyton Manning.

Itโ€™s hard to say if thereโ€™s going to be a market for his services considering that only a few teams were interested following his release from the Cardinals.

  1. Hope he gets a chance somewhere, like Seattle, Cleveland, or Miami (pretty much wherever Flynn & Manning donโ€™t go). Really want to see him redeem himself.
