Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Texans have released veteran QB Thad Lewis on Monday.
This comes after the news that Houston is signing both Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer to contracts.
Other reports have said that the Texans are likely to release Ryan Fitzpatrick as well, so that’s something to keep an eye out for in the coming days.
Lewis, 27, has appeared in an NFL game since the 2013 season when he was playing for the Buffalo Bills.
