Texans Sign S Ibraheim Campbell To Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans have signed S Ibraheim Campbell to their practice squad on Wednesday.

The Texans’ practice squad now consists of:

3. CB Dee Virgin
4. LB Kennan Gilchrist
5. G Dorian Johnson
6. RB Troymaine Pope
7. TE Ryan Malleck
8. QB Taylor Heinicke
9. DB Josh Thornton
10. S Ibraheim Campbell

Campbell was among a group of players to work out for the Texans on Tuesday.

Campbell, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2,792,008 contract and set to make a base salary of $615,000 when Cleveland decided to waive him with an injury settlement.

The Browns waived Campbell with an injury designation and he later reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers.

In 2017, Campbell appeared in eight games and recorded 16 tackles, one fumble recovery and a pass defense for the Browns.
