Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Titans are also scheduled to host free agent S Mike Mitchell for a visit on Friday.
The Titans will meet with Kenny Vaccaro tomorrow and are reportedly interested in Eric Reid too.
It’s clear that the Titans are prepared to sign a veteran safety after losing Johnathan Cyprien for the season with an ACL tear this week.
Mitchell recently visited with the Cardinals, but wound up leaving Arizona without a deal in place.
Mitchell, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2009. After four years in Oakland and a brief stint with the Panthers, Mitchell signed a five-year, $25 million contract with $5.75 million guaranteed with the Steelers back in 2014.
Unfortunately, the Steelers released him back in March.
In 2017, Mitchell appeared in 13 games for the Steelers and recorded 53 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 62 safety out of 87 qualifying players.
We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
