Titans Not Looking To Trade Marcus Mariota Today

According to Terry McCormick, the Titans aren’t looking to trade QB Marcus Mariota before today’s trade deadline.

McCormick adds Mariota is also not trying to force his way out of Tennessee. The former No. 2 overall pick was benched two weeks ago and is entering the final year of his contract with the Titans.

Mariota, 25, is a former No. 2 overall pick of the Titans back in 2015.  He signed a four-year, $24.214 million rookie contract that’s fully guaranteed.

The Titans picked up Mariota’s fifth-year option back in April worth $20.922 million for the 2019 season. Mariota will be an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career in 2020.

In 2019, Mariota has appeared in five games and completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 1,116 yards, seven touchdowns and no interceptions. He has also rushed for 125 yards.
