Titans Place QB Jake Locker On Season-Ending I.R.

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they have placed QB Jake Locker on season-ending injured reserve and signed QB Jordan Palmer to a contract.

This likely ends Lockerโ€™s time with the Titans.

Itโ€™s really been amazing to see how many injuries Locker has sustained since he entered the NFL back in 2010.

Locker, 26, is in the final year of his four-year, $12,586,002 rookie contract and will have made a base salary of $2,091,273 for the 2014 season.

The Titans elected to not pick up his fifth-year option several months ago, so he will be a free agent next March. There is a chance he could generate a decent amount of interest just based on the fact that there will be a lack of quality quarterback options on the open market.

Lockerโ€™s 2014 season ends with him throwing for 993 yards while completing 58.9 percent of his passes for five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
