Titans Planning To Start Blaine Gabbert Against Jaguars

Adam Schefter reports that the Titans are planning to start Blaine Gabbert at quarterback against the Jaguars on Sunday.

According to Schefter, Tennessee is still hoping Marcus Mariota can regain feel in his hand andĀ grip a football as soon as possible.

Gabbert, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2010. After three years in Jacksonville, he was traded to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick back in March of 2014.

Gabbert played out the final year of his two-year, $4 million contract before eventually signing aĀ one-year, $855,000 contract with the Cardinals last year.

The Titans and Gabbert agreed to aĀ two-year contract worth $4 million.

In 2018, Gabbert has appeared in two games and converted 57.1 percent of his passes for 234 yards to go along with one touchdown and one interception.
