The Titans downgraded RB Derrick Henry to questionable for Week 16 due to a hamstring injury, so Tennessee clearly wanted to add depth to their backfield.
Dawkins, 24, signed on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State back in May of last year. He was waived coming out of the preseason and has bounced on and off Tennessee’s practice squad since then.
In 2019, Dawkins has appeared in one game and recorded two rushing attempts for two yards and no touchdowns.
