Titans Re-Signing LB Will Compton To Practice Squad

The Tennessee Titans are re-signing veteran LB Will Compton to their practice squad on Tuesday, according to Paul Kuharsky

Compton did not need to pass through waivers unclaimed, since he’s a vested veteran.

The Titans will need to make a corresponding roster move, as they’re currently over the practice squad limit:

  1. TE Tommy Hudson (COVID-19)
  2. T Brandon Kemp
  3. K Tucker McCann
  4. DB Kareem Orr
  5. G David Quessenberry
  6. DE Wyatt Ray
  7. QB Trevor Siemian
  8. DT Teair Tart
  9. WR Cameron Batson
  10. LB Daren Bates
  11. LB Tuzar Skipper
  12. WR Cody Hollister
  13. DB Breon Borders
  14. WR Chester Rogers
  15. RB D’Onta Foreman
  16. LS Matt Overton
  17. TE Parker Hesse

Compton, 31, signed on with Washington as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2013. However, the team waived him shortly after and signed him to their practice squad once he cleared waivers.

Washington promoted him to their active roster at the end of the 2013 season and he played out the rest of his rookie deal with the team. From there, Compton signed a one-year deal with the Titans worth up to $2 million in 2018 before joining the Saints last year.

Unfortunately, Compton was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason and eventually released with an injury settlement. He later caught one with the Raiders to finish out the season before returning to the Titans a few months ago.

In 2020, Compton has appeared in five games for the Titans and recorded six tackles and no sacks.
