Todd Gurley Will Be Game-Time Decision In Week 16

Rams HC Sean McVay said Friday that Todd Gurley (knee, questionable) did not practice and they plan to be cautious with him on Sunday if he plays.

“We’re not going to do anything that isn’t smart for Todd,” McVay said, per Myles Simmons.

According to McVay, a decision regarding Gurley likely to go right up to game time on Sunday.

If Gurley is out, McVay says it’s a possibility newly signed RB C.J. Anderson could start in his place.

McVay added that RB Justin Davis (shoulder) will also be questionable for Week 16.

Gurley, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Rams back in 2015. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $13.823 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $2.31 million for the 2018 season when the Rams picked up his fifth-year option back in April.

Gurley later agreed to a new four-year extension worth $60 million and includes $45 million guaranteed with the Rams this past summer.

In 2018, Gurley appeared in 14 games for the Rams and rushed for 1,251 yards on 256 carries (4.9 YPC) to go along with 59 receptions for 580 yards receiving and 21 total touchdowns.

We’ll have more regarding Gurley as the news is available.
