Tom Brady’s Reps Reportedly Meeting With Chargers, Colts & Raiders At Combine

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that Tom Brady‘s representatives are scheduled to meet with prospective teams at the Combine this week, which includes the Chargers, Raiders and Colts

This would qualify as tampering, given that teams are only allowed to discuss their own players in conversations with agents at this point in the offseason. However, agents are always gauging the market for players at the Combine and it’s doubtful New England will file any charges, as it will help them get an idea of what his market will be.

The Patriots have yet to reach out to Brady’s reps about a new contract and reports have said that the CBA situation is causing a delay from their end.

It’s not surprising — there’s no CBA,” Rapoport said on “NFL Now.” “The Patriots have no reason to negotiate now. It’s probably going to come closer to when the tampering window opens.

Earlier in the day, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington reported that Brady does not believe he will be playing in New England next season and is expecting to enter free agency.

Brady has shared this belief with others, per Darlington. He adds there’s a belief in his circles the Patriots will have an opportunity to convince him to stay. However, Brady is currently evaluating the NFL landscape with the intention of finding a new home.

Other teams linked to Brady include the Buccaneers and Titans.

Brady, 42, is a former sixth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2000. He was in the final year of his two-year, $41 million contract when he agreed to a two-year extension a few weeks ago.

Brady made $23 million for the 2019 season and is in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2019, Brady appeared in all 16 games for the Patriots and threw for 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He also rushed for 34 yards and three touchdowns.
