TRADE: Eagles Trade S Terrence Brooks To Jets For CB Dexter McDougle

Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Eagles are trading S Terrence Brooks to Jets for CB Dexter McDougle on Saturday.

McDougle, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. The Jets waived him coming out of the preseason last year and later signed him to their practice squad. New York eventually promoted McDougle to their active roster in November.

McDougle is currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,863,876 contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2017 season.

In 2016, McDougle appeared in six games and recorded one and no interceptions or pass defenses.

Davis, 31, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bears back in 2008. He spent five years in Chicago before playing for multiple teams over the past three season including the Seahawks, Lions, and Jets.

In 2016, Davis has appeared in eight games for the Jets but has not recorded a single statistic.

Brooks, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Ravens back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.906 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2017 season.

The Ravens waived Brooks at the start of last year and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Eagles.

In 2016, Brooks appeared in 11 games for the Eagles and recorded five tackles, an interception, two forced fumbles and a pass defense.
