Trade Rumors: Bengals, Falcons, Texans

Bengals

  • Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports “no one really wants” Bengals WR John Ross right now and it appears as though a potential market for him has dried up.
  • Ross has made it clear that he wants to be moved, but an executive explained to Fowler that part of the issue with Ross paying the remainder of his $2.8 million salary for a player who has just two receptions all year.
  • Josina Anderson reports that the Bengals’ front office understands why Ross requested a trade and are currently speaking with the receiver about his negative feelings toward the organization.
  • Anderson notes that recent comments from a media member likely “enflamed the situation,” but no trade is considered imminent at this time.

Falcons

  • Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that the Falcons have had some trade discussions with teams about moving DE Takk McKinley, but are only willing to move him for the right price.
  • Fowler explains that the issue for Atlanta is that the pass rusher market may have dried up after the Lions and Seahawks both finalized trades for edge rushers earlier in the week.

Texans

  • Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that teams are calling the Texans about all of their receivers right now.
  • According to Fowler, Will Fuller is the most attractive option in terms of a potential trade and some think the Packers will get “loosely involved” and explore the possibility of acquiring him.
  • Fowler says the Texans want a lot for their receivers.
