Trade Rumors: Eagles, Giants, Washington

Eagles

  • Albert Breer of SI.com reports that the Eagles have received “a lot of calls” from teams about their players.
  • No surprise here, but Breer says veteran WR Alshon Jeffery is “very clearly available” right now.
  • The Eagles have also received calls about a potential trade for TE Zach Ertz. Breer says the Eagles’ decision to wait a few days before placing him on injured reserve raised some eyebrows around the league.
  • Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that Zach Ertz‘s ankle injury may have prevented him from being traded. Multiple executives around the league told Fowler that they got indications that Philadelphia may have traded him before the injury.

Giants

  • According to Albert Breer, the Giants are open for business leading up to the trade deadline.
  • Breer mentions that two names that have regularly come up as potential trade candidates include WR Golden Tate and G Kevin Zeitler in their talks with other teams.
  • However, Breer explains that Tate’s contract and declining production could make a trade unlikely.
  • As for Zeitler, Breer seems to think he could fetch the Giants a return based on a number of teams in need of quality offensive linemen around the NFL.

Washington

  • Albert Breer is told by sources that the Washington Football Team will listen to trade offers for veteran players leading up to the deadline.
  • Two names Breer has heard specifically mentioned are edge defenders Ryan Kerrigan and Ryan Anderson.
