Tyreek Hill Meeting With NFL Investigators Wednesday

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is meeting with NFL investigators on Wednesday.

Sources tell Florio that investigators will discuss the recorded comments made by Hill to his fiancee, Crystal Espinal, where he told her “You need to be terrified of me too, bitch.”

They will also discuss the discipline of Hill’s three-year-old son that may have crossed the line and the circumstances that resulted in the child being removed from the custody of Hill and Espinal.

This is the only interview that will happen in Kansas City. If it’s determined Hill should be suspended, there will be another interview in New York City with commissioner Roger Goodell.

Nate Taylor of the Athletic mentioned a few days ago that the Chiefs believe Hill could be suspended by the NFL as soon as next month.

The Chiefs have suspended Hill indefinitely from all team-related activities following an investigation into potential child abuse of Hill’s three-year-old son.

The district attorney declined to file charges because it could not be determined if Hill or his fiancee broke the child’s arm. The criminal case is inactive, but there is another investigation that is still open for Hill with the Kansas Department for Children and Families.

Hill, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He is entering the final year of his four-year, $2.58 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,965,036 for the 2019 season.

In 2018, Hill appeared in 16 games for the Chiefs and caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns to go along with 151 yards rushing and a touchdown. Hill also totaled 213 punt returns and one touchdown. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 7 receiver out of 117 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Hill as the news is available.
