Vikings Placing WR Josh Doctson On IR

According to Ian Rapoport, the Vikings are placing WR Josh Doctson on injured reserve with a leg injury.

Rapoport mentions Doctson could be a candidate to return from injured reserve later this season.

Minnesota just signed Doctson after the former first-round pick was released by the Redskins following failed attempts to trade him. Doctson has yet to appear in a game for his new team.

Doctson, 26, was taken in the first round out of TCU in 2016 by the Redskins. He signed a four-year, $10.049 million contract and was set to make a base salary of $1,820,406 for the 2019 season when the Redskins released him this past weekend.

In 2018, Doctson appeared in 15 games for the Redskins and caught 44 passes for 532 yards receiving (12.1 YPC) and two touchdowns.
