Vikings Promote OL Willie Beavers To Active Roster, Sign Two To PS

The Minnesota Vikings announced Tuesday that they have promoted OL Willie Beavers to their active roster.

The Vikings also signed OL Sean Hickey and WR Isaac Fruechte to their practice squad and waived CB Julian Wilson from the unit.

The Vikings’ practice squad now consists of:

3. WR Moritz Boehringer
4. QB Joel Stave
5. G Willie Beavers
6. TE Kyle Carter
7. DE Stephen Weatherly
8. DB Tre Roberson
9. WR Isaac Fruechte
10. OL Sean Hickey

Beavers, 22, wound up being selected with the No. 121 overall pick by the Vikings back in May. He signed a four-year, $2.87 million contract with the team but wound up being among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason.

The Vikings later signed him to their practice squad.

During his college career at Western Michigan, Beavers was a three-year starter and a first-team All-MAC as a senior.
