Vikings WR Laquon Treadwell Available For Trade

Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com reports that the emergence of WR Chad Beebe has led to the Vikings once again making WR Laquon Treadwell available for trade.

Breer admits that the Vikings are unlikely to get anything “significant” in return for Treadwell at this point, but there’s at least a chance that a receiver-needy team could offer a Day 3 pick for the former first-rounder.

Reports dating back to the offseason mentioned that Treadwell was among the available players for trade, but it appears as though there isn’t enough interest in him to complete a deal.

Treadwell, 24, is a former first-round pick of the Vikings back in 2016. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $9,934,980 contract that included a signing bonus of $5,425,440.

The Vikings declined Treadwell’s fifth-year option back in April, which means he’ll make a base salary of $1.8 million before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2020.

In 2018, Treadwell appeared in 15 games for the Vikings, catching 35 passes for 302 yards (8.6 YPC) and one touchdown.
