Washington Cuts WR Darvin Kidsy, Signs WR Tony Brown

The Washington Football Team announced Monday it had signed rookie WR Tony Brown to the roster and cut WR Darvin Kidsy in a corresponding move.

Kidsy, 25, wound up signing on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Southern back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract, but was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Redskins later re-signed Kidsy to their practice squad after he cleared waivers. He’s bounced back and forth between the practice squad and active roster since.

Kidsy has appeared in five NFL games for Washington and caught one pass for eight yards.

During his college career at North Texas and Texas Southern, Kidsy caught 86 passes for 1,058 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 48 games.
