The Kansas Cityย Chiefs officially signed TE Anthony Firkser to their practice squad on Wednesday and released WR Devin Lucien from the unit.
The Chiefs’ practice squad now consists of:
- WR Gehrig Dieter
- S Leon McQuay
- RB George Atkinson
- DB Keith Reaser
- WR Marcus Kemp
- G Damien Mama
- CBย Will Redmond
- DT Rickey Hatley
- NT Mike Purcell
- TE Anthony Firkser
Lucien, 24, is a former seventh-round pick by the Patriots out of Arizona State in the 2016ย NFL Draft. He was in the first year of a four-year rookie contract when the Patriots decided to waive him and sign him to their practice squad.
New England re-signed him to a futuresย contract back in February but was eventually waived with an injury settlement at the start of the 2016 season. After a brief stint on the Colts’ practice squad, Lucien signed on with the Chiefs.
During his four-year college career, Lucien recordedย 124 receptions for 1,826 yards receiving (14.7 YPC) and 12 touchdowns.
