Dolphins Sign DB Tracy Howard To Practice Squad

The Miami Dolphins have signed DB Tracy Howard to their practice squad on Thursday, according to Armando Salguero.

Miami will need to make a corresponding roster move, considering that they’re already at the 10-man limit.

The Dolphins’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. QB Brandon Doughty
  2. OT Sean Hickey
  3. WR Malcolm Lewis
  4. WR Drew Morgan
  5. DT Gabe Wright
  6. RB Brandon Radcliff
  7. WR Rashawn Scott
  8. DB David Rivers
  9. DE Jonathan Woodard
  10. DB Taveze Calhoun

Howard, 23, signed on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of last year. He wound up making the active roster coming out of the preseason and signed a three-year, $1.62 million contract.

The Browns elected to place him on waivers back in April and he was later claimed by the Jaguars. Unfortunately, Jacksonville cut Howard loose coming out of the preseason and he had a brief stint on their practice squad.

In 2016, Howard appeared in 15 games for the Browns and recorded 20 total tackles, one pass defense, and 111 yards as a kickoff return specialist.
