Packers Waive TE Beau Sandland From I.R. With Settlement

The Green Bay Packers officially waived TE Beau Sandland from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday.

Sandland, 24, was selected in the seventh round of this year’s NFL draft by the Panthers. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and was later signed to the team’s practice squad.

Carolina elected to cut him loose from their practice squad back in November of last year and he later signed on to the Packers’ taxi squad. Green Bay brought Sandland back on a future/reserve contract this past January.

Unfortunately, Sandland was recently waived with an injury designation and later reverted to the Packers’ injured reserve list.

During his senior season at Montana State, Sandland caught 37 passes for 632 yards (17.1 YPR) and nine touchdowns.
