Nick Underhill reports that the Saints are releasing DB Justin Thomas.
Thomas, 23, signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech as a defensive back after playing quarterback during college.
He worked out as a defensive back and wide receiver during his tryout for the Saints.
During his four-year college career at Georgia Tech, Thomas threw for 4,748 yards while completing 48.7 percent of his passes to go along with 40 touchdowns and 18 interceptions over the course of 48 games. He also rushed for 2,409 yards and 22 touchdowns.
