The New Orleans Saints officially signed WR De’Quan Hampton to a contract and waived WR Jordan Williams with an injury designation on Wednesday.
Should Williams pass through waivers unclaimed, he would revert to the team’s injured reserve list on Thursday.
Williams, 23, wound up signing on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Ball State back in May of last year. Unfortunately, Williams was waived at the start of the season and later signed to the Saints’ practice squad.
New Orleans elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract this past January.
Williams has yet to appear in an NFL game.
