Redskins Waive TE Anthony McCoy, Promote TE Je’Ron Hamm

The Washington Redskins announced that they’ve placed TE Anthony McCoy on waivers Monday and promoted TE Je’Ron Hamm to their active roster.

• Redskins signed LB Derrick Mathews and LB Lynden Trail to their practice squad.
• Redskins released CB Deveron Carr from their practice squad.

McCoy, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2010. Unfortunately for him, he’s dealt with injuries in recent, which has prevented him from appearing in an NFL game since 2012.

McCoy was among the Seahawks’ roster cuts at the start of the season, but later signed on with the Redskins after they sustained a number of injuries to tight ends.

This season, McCoy has appeared in six games, but has yet to record a single statistic.
