Redskins Placing CB Chris Culliver On Season-Ending I.R. With Torn ACL & MCL

Redskins HC Jay Gruden confirmed that CB Chris Culliver tore his left ACL and MCL and will be placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Culliver sustained the knee injury during Thursday’s practice, and it was clear that this could be a season-ending issue for him.

Culliver, 27, signed a four-year, $32 million contract that included $16 million guaranteed with the Redskins back in March. He stands to make base salaries of $3 million in 2015 and $8 million from 2016-18.

This season, Culliver has appeared in six games and recorded 16 tackles and a pass defense for the Redskins.
