Redskins Placing WR Andre Roberts On Season-Ending I.R.

Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports that the Redskins will place WR Andre Roberts on season-ending injured reserve with a meniscus injury.

  • Tarik El-Bashir reported earlier that Roberts was undergoing season-ending surgery on his knee to repair the meniscus.

Roberts, 27, is in the second year of his four-year, $16 million contract that includes $8 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $2.75 million this season to go along with $4 million in 2016.

His 2015 season comes to an end with him appearing in nine games for the Redskins and catching 11 passes for 135 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also contributed 231 kick return yards and a touchdown.
