Chargers Promote TE Sean McGrath & S Matt Daniels, Place 4 On I.R.

The San Diego Chargers announced several roster moves on Monday including placing four players on season-ending injured reserve.

The players headed tot he injured reserve list include: S Eric Weddle, TE Ladarius Green, DB Darrell Stuckey and NT Sean Lissemore.

The Chargers also promoted TE Sean McGrath and S Matt Daniels to their active roster and signed G Craig Watts and G Michael Huey to the practice squad.

Daniels, 26, was apart of the Rams as an undrafted free agent back in 2012 prior to signing with Jacksonville. He only appeared in six total games for St. Louis, and has not played in a regular season game since 2013. Daniels sustained a shoulder injury this preseason, which has led to dismissal from the roster.

Last season, Daniels landed on the injured reserve with a fractured right ankle, and even suffered a torn ACL back in 2012 that also ended his season.

McGrath, 27, originally signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Henderson State back in 2012. He spent a over a year in Seattle before later being claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Last year, McGrath made the decision to retire from the NFL. However, this decision was short lived as he changed his mind a few months later after being cut by Kansas City.

McGrath later caught on with the Colts, but has been on and off of their roster ever since.

McGrath last appeared in a game during the 2013 season when he registered 26 catches for 302 yards and two touchdowns for the Chiefs.
