Jets Request Interviews With George Paton & Scott Fitterer For GM Job

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Jets have also requested permission to interview Vikings assistant GM George Paton and Seahawks co-director of player personnel Scott Fitterer for their GM vacancy.

They join Joe Douglas (Eagles) and Champ Kelly (Bears) on the list of candidates for the Jets’ job.

New York actually interviewed Fitterer for the GM job back in 2015 and requested to meet with Paton in two prior GM searches.

Paton has been a popular name in GM searches over the past several years. However, he has declined to interview for a number of jobs to remain with the Vikings.

Fitterer joined the Seahawks as an area scout back in 2001 and worked his way up to director of college scouting in 2010 before being promoted to his current job. He has been a popular name in GM searches over the past few years.
