49ers Cut 10 Players, Place LB Desmond Bishop On I.R.

The San Francisco 49ers announced the release of players on Monday, as they work to trim their roster down to 75 players.

The list of players either released or placed on waivers includes:

San Francisco also placed OL Daniel Kilgore on the Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform List and WR DeAndre Smelter on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List.

Veteran LB Desmond Bishop and WR Dres Anderson have been placed on season-ending injured reserve.

Bishop, 30, is a former sixth-round pick of the Packers. He spent five years with Green Bay and helped them win a Super Bowl before he suffered a serious hamstring injury that cost him the 2012 season.

Bishop later caught on with the Vikings, but unfortunately suffered a torn ACL and was placed on season-ending injured reserve.

The 49ers signed him to a contract late last season and wound up bringing him back on a one-year deal.
