The San Francisco 49ers announced that they’ve placed DE Ronald Blair on injured reserve and re-signed DE Damontre Moore to a contract on Wednesday.
Blair, unfortunately, suffered a season-ending ACL making a great tackle on Seahawks QB Russell Wilson this past Monday.
Blair, 27, is a former fifth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2016. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2.61 million contract and set to make a base salary of $630,000.
Blair is in line to be an unrestricted free agent in 2020.
In 2019, Blair appeared in nine games for the 49ers and recorded 21 tackles, three sacks and one fumble recovery.
Moore, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He lasted over two years in New York before he was waived and later claimed by the Dolphins.
Since then, Moore has played for the Raiders, Seahawks and Cowboys and even had a stint in the AAF. He signed on with the 49ers back in April but has been on and off of their roster ever since.
In 2018, Moore appeared in three games for the Cowboys and recorded five tackles and no sacks.
