49ers Release DL Damontre Moore, Sign DB Alex Brown

The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they’ve released DL Damontre Moore and signed DB Alex Brown to a contract.

Moore, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He lasted over two years in New York before he was waived in December of last year.

The Dolphins wound up claiming him off of waivers from the Giants. However, he was later waived. Since then, Moore played for the Raiders, Seahawks and Cowboys before returning to Oakland a few weeks ago.

The Raiders cut him loose last year and he later signed on with the San Diego Fleet of the AAF. Moore signed on with the 49ers last month.

In 2018, Moore appeared in three games for the Cowboys and recorded five tackles and no sacks.
