Ian Rapoport reports that the San Francisco 49ers are releasing DE Daeshon Hall.
Hall, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Panthers back in 2017. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3.261 million contract and set to make a base salary of $555,000 for the 2018 season when the Panthers waived him coming out of the preseason.
Hall spent time on both the 49ers and Texans’ practice squad in 2018 before being signed to the Eagles’ active roster late in the season. Philadelphia waived Hall coming out of the preseason before later bringing him back.
The Eagles eventually placed Hall on the PUP list before waiving him and he was then claimed by the Jets. Unfortunately, Hall was waived again just four days later with a failed physical designation.
Hall was signed to the 49ers’ practice squad last year for a second stint with the team and later returned on a futures contract with this past January.
In 2019, Hall appeared in nine games for the Eagles and recorded five total tackles and one sack.
